G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination 2026 – History I Model Paper (English Medium)

This model paper has been prepared for students preparing for the 2026 G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) examination. The questions have been constructed with reference to the Grade 10 and Grade 11 History syllabi, subject content and the question patterns of the recent O/L History I papers.

It contains 40 multiple choice questions, testing your knowledge of facts, events and chronological order, causes and effects, important persons and places, and political, social, economic and cultural developments.

After completing the paper, you can obtain your score, the correct answers and answer explanations for each question. Therefore it can be used both as an exam practice and as a study opportunity.

• Answer all questions.
• For each question, select one correct or most appropriate answer from the four alternatives given.

• Manage your time well to finish all questions within the given time.
